GUN BARREL CITY– On March 11, locals assembled at Gun Barrel City park for Izzy’s Antibullying Awareness Rally, held by Bikers Against Bullying. Izzy Scott is a student at Mabank ISD who has been bullied by other students on campus, says her mother Kelsey Scott. After finding an alarming letter written by her daughter about the bullying, Scott organized this rally to show Izzy and all of the other local children going through similar circumstances that they are loved and valued.
Scott is a board member for Bikers Against Bullying Texas (BABTX), an organization dedicated to advocating for bullied children in school systems and elsewhere. BABTX holds and attends events in support of bullied children and called out to all bikers in the area to attend for these children, and many came to show their support.
The event featured food and drinks, bounce houses, haircuts, face and nail painting, a cake walk, raffles and live music by Tyler Stokes and Hi-Finn & the Blues Catz. The rally was sponsored by Lisa Rhodes of Keller Williams
