The Sunday before Sept. 11 local first responders proceed through all municipalities around Cedar Creek Lake in honor of all 9/11 first responders. Participants in this year’s procession came from Gun Barrel City, Seven Points, Tool, Trinidad, Malakoff, Caney City, Log Cabin, Kemp, Southside, Eustace, Payne Springs and Mabank.

The first responders procession travels on State Highway 198 Sept. 8. First responders from around Cedar Creek Lake are represented in the procession, creating a mile-long train of fire trucks, police vehicles and ambulances.
