West Cedar Creek Municipal District hears from Eight at Tool Park
TOOL–The West Cedar Creek Municipal Utility District (WCCMUD) board met for their regular meeting June 24. The board heard from Tool City Council Member and Eight at Tool Park Project Manager Vera Bennett.
Bennett approached the board for a donation to the Eight at Tool Park. Bennett said, “We have a budget, and we are trying to live within that budget. One of the unexpected things was another backup water meter for our irrigation system that would run just water, not sewer. We are looking to see if you would donate that to us. We would activate it on an as-needed basis for backup water.”
WCCMUD board President Wanda Sanders stated, “Right at this moment I do not want to make a decision on that, I would like to hold off and discuss it in executive session.” The board agreed to table the agenda item until it could be discussed in the executive session.
After the executive session, the board announced that it would install a one-and-a-half-inch irrigation meter for half of the original cost.
In other business, board members:
• Heard updates on Key Ranch, line has made it to Buddy Ruth Road.
• Construction of the communication tower in Tolosa has begun.
• A ten-inch leak in Seven Points was repaired.
