A multi-vehicle accident occurred Feb. 1 along State Highway 274 in Tool in front of Fig’s Backyard. According to a release provided by Tool City Administrator Julius Kizzee, “Curently, the Tool Police Department is working a motor vehicle incident that occured on Feb. 1. Details of the incident are currently under investigation. We will release information as it becomes available.”
TOOL—Multiple law enforcement agencies have been involved in an extensive investigation involving a homicide in Tool. According to a press release, the Tool Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a missing person within the city limits of Tool Aug. 1. The initial investigation swiftly revealed the need for a comprehensive search and led to a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

CEDAR CREEK LAKE–November is election season for several cities around Cedar Creek Lake, some electing officials while others vote on propositions.
In Gun Barrel City, the long-awaited race for mayor includes candidates Debbie DeLeon and Brian Crull.
In Tool, the race for mayor and two city council seats will be decided. Running unopposed for mayor is Councilman Mike Dumont. On the ballot for council is Councilman Michael Fladmark who is seeking reelection. Vera Bennet and Mayor Tommy Lawhon run for council as write-in candidates.
