January is Texas School Board Appreciation Month. Mabank Independent School District recognizes trustees Jan. 23. Mikey Thompson (from left), John Litchfield, School Board President Todd Grimes, Bryan Miller, Robby Teague, Dustin Conner and Erik Tijerina are thanked by Interim Superintendent Dr. Russell Marshall, who said, “These guys are really good, they are really dedicated, they ask the hard questions and they make the policy. They expect us to run the day-to-day operations of the district, when we do it well they praise us enough and when we don’t they refocus us and help us to do it the right way. We are very successful because it starts at the top, with them.”
