The stalls in the shower bus are separate. Each stall has shampoo, conditioner, shower soap and towels, all of which are provided by Lakeview Assembly of God Church. The showers are monitored and only one person at a time can use a stall, unless a small child is in need of showering then a family member can go in the stall with them. Alltogether the bus has five stalls, one of which has a handicap bench.

SEVEN POINTS–Lakeview Assembly of God in Seven Points has a remodeled school bus in the parking lot that serves one purpose, personal hygiene. Lead Pastor Christian Sabis and Worship Pastor Bobby Bonnette have a desire to make an impact on the community, stated Bonnette.
The bus is funded through the nonprofit organization, CleanUp USA. Their website https://www.cleanupusa.org/ states, “We meet the practical, everyday needs of people in our community.” Also on the website, there is information on how the founder, Jordan Allsup, conceived the idea. Allsup said, “During a period of personal struggle and uncertainty, the journey began with a simple idea, to create a mobile environment that could bring dignity and purpose to neighbors experiencing difficulties in the Dallas–Ft. Worth metroplex.”
CleanUp USA’s mission statement is “to be the most neighbor-centric organization where people engage with the services they need most in mobile care units that come to them.”
Sabis and Bonnette step in with a desire and God-given drive to help those around the Cedar Creek Lake area who struggle with financial demise, homelessness, drug and/or alcohol abuse or any other devastating loss. The pastors had seen the bus and wanted to know more about it. Bonnette said that they partner with East Texas Food Bank, who provides fresh produce the second Friday of every month for the church to distribute, and that is where they got the information about the buses. They contacted CleanUp USA, and the bus was delivered, fully stocked with shampoo, soap and towels. The retired school bus has been remodeled with a propane water heater, electricity, five private stalls with showers, one with a handicap seat, shower curtains and tiled walls. Bonnette said,“We want to drive it around the Cedar Creek Lake area and provide a need.”
Bonnette continues, “Members of the Lakeview Assembly of God Church replenish the shampoo and soap, washes the towels, cleans and maintains the upkeep of the bus. The bus is monitored when in use, men and women do not share stalls, unless it is a family with children.”
The bus is open every Friday, however if someone is in need of a shower before Friday, they can go to the church office and it will be open for their use, Bonnette said. Bonnette continued, the second Friday of every month from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. they give out fresh produce that is provided by East Texas Food Bank. The shower bus is open at that time as well.
Bonnette continued “That Lakeview Assembly of God church was set up as a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)  stop when a hurricane hit Houston, so we have cots, as well as showers and bathrooms on each end of the sanctuary all set up for disaster. So anytime something comes along we want to be a place where people come, because we have some things that are available.”
