EUSTACE–During the Feb. 10 Eustace Independent School District board meeting, trustees expressed their gratitude to Interim Superintendent Randy Perry before approving lone finalist Brandi Dyer as superintendent.
Board of Trustees President Scot Bonner said, “Mr. [Randy] Perry, thank you so much. You came in as our interim superintendent during some volatile waters. You showed great expertise, and as the president of the board it was absolutely wonderful. Everybody can take a deep breath, relax and you did a fantastic job. Our district is in far better shape now than when you got here. So we deeply appreciate all that you have done for us. On a personal note, I have known of you for a few years, but from a distance. I must say that there were some rumors about you, and they were true. You’re a Godly man. You’re a good man. You’re kind. And you’re really good at what you do. I’m just glad now that I have the honor to call you friend. We truly do appreciate all that you have done for our district.”
Perry responded with, “Let me say thank you to this board. This has been a really wonderful working experience. You have been very kind to me, particularly when you knew I had these physical limitations, that limited me almost from the beginning, when I had issues from my foot. I think it’s wonderful that I got to  meet and get to know a lot of folks in Eustace. I come through here all the time. I come to ballgames here and Eustace will always be in my heart.”
The board moved to hire the lone finalist for superintendent, Brandi Dyer. Jan. 23 The Monitor reported, Dyer began her Bulldog career when she entered kindergarten. After graduation she attended Trinity Valley Community College, transferring to Texas A&M University-Commerce, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, with Principal and Superintendent Certifications.
After graduation she gained experience in Terrell ISD, Grand Saline ISD, Mabank ISD and ultimately back to Eustace ISD in 2023 as the Chief Academic Officer, and later becoming the Assistant Superintendent.
Board of Trustees member Ashley McKee said, “It is my true  honor to move that we hire Brandi Dyer as our new Superintendent.” A second and third motion was made, making Dyer the Superintendent of Eustace ISD. Bonner stated, “Mrs. Dyer, I am thankful that you are going to be our new superintendent. I am not one who believes in coincidences, I think you were led here at this time for this job. We are very thankful to have you.”
