GUN BARREL CITY—Gun Barrel City Police Department responded to 346 Flagship Lane at approximately 4:08 p.m. Feb. 23 in response to a shooting. 
According to a press release, officers located Mackenzie Wisdom, 22 of Gun Barrel City with a gunshot wound. Wisdom was transported to UT Health Cedar Creek Lake where she succumbed to her injuries. 
The Gun Barrel City Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety with the collaboration of the Henderson County Sheriff Office’s Crime Scene Unit and Henderson County District Attorney’s office determined this offense was an isolated incident and arrested John David Bunch-Stiles, 23 of Gun Barrel City for Criminally Negligent Homicide, a state jail felony. 
“The Gun Barrel City Police Department would like to extend our condolences to the Wisdom family,” the release states.
