Eustace recognizes state archery team

EUSTACE‑The Eustace Board of Trustees met May 27 for their regular session and presented the Eustace High School Archery team with their state medals.
Coach Kenneth Carpenter introduced the archery team to the school board of trustees by saying, ”We want to recognize third year in a row state champion archers from Eustace, Texas.” Carpenter went on to say, “This team, I am going to be conservative on this, since they have been shooting has raised around $30,000 in scholarships.”
After students received their medals Carpenter said, “I want to tell these students, thank you for everything you have done for me. Throughout these last four years, they have been with me since seventh grade. I want to thank Coach Amanda Cooper for helping me throughout all of it, she is the brains behind the operation. Thank you to the parents for everything, it has been awesome, great memories, it has been a heck of a ride. Thank you.”
In other business, the board:
• Heard that the air conditioners in the gym are going to need to be replaced.
• Approved an interlocal agreement with Region 8 for food service during the 2025-26 school year.
• Approved a dual credit partnership with Trinity Valley Community College for the 2025-26 school year.
• Approved a collection contract with Henderson County Tax Office.
• Approved the sale of bus 32 for $3,500.
• Approved a budget amendment for the middle school travel funds be moved to middle school supplies.
• Approved a budget amendment for the middle school special education (SPED) travel funds be moved to middle school SPED supplies.
