State District judge retires after 20 years

State District Judge Dan Moore (center) retires after 20 years as the 173rd Judicial District judge. Judge Moore was appointed to the 173rd Judicial District Court by Gov. Rick Perry in June 2005. Before being appointed, Moore was a private practice attorney and served as a municipal judge for the City of Gun Barrel City and city attorney for the City of Athens.
