Gun Barrel City Toys for Tots is dedicated to serving children around the Cedar Creek Lake Area. Volunteers work tirelessly year around so that children not only have Christmas gifts, but are taken care of during a disaster or for college scholarships. Billy Odom Roofing owner Billy Odom and wife Becky procured an autographed guitar from George Strait. The guitar was donated by the Odoms to the Gun Barrel City Toys for Tots, to be auctioned at the Christmas in October event Oct. 18. Jerry Covington won the bid for $13,000.

Tuley’s Karaoke owner Scott Tuley donated time, energy and entertainment to the Gun Barrel City Toys for Tots Christmas in October event Oct. 18. The event has very successful for children around the Cedar Creek Lake area. The funds will go toward Christmas gifts, disaster relief and college scholarships. Toys for Tots is happy to be working with every school district that touches the lake. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 1849, Mabank, Texas 75147, or Southside Bank in Gun Barrel City.
