GUN BARREL CITY—Two deceased people were found in the early morning hours of Dec. 15 by the Gun Barrel City Police Department (GBCPD), which was following up on a call for service at a residence in the Willowwood subdivision, which is located off Legendary Lane in that town, according to GBCPD.
A GBCPD press release says the discovery occurred at about 6 a.m., which led to an investigation involving the deaths, which GBCPD identified as a 50-year-old adult female and a 44-year-old adult male. According to GBCPD, one of its detectives, Adrian Ruiz, was joined by assisting agencies including the Henderson County Sheriff's Office and Texas Ranger Jay Jenkins, all of which were at the scene following the discovery, as was Henderson County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Jamie Fawns.
“There is no threat to the community, and no additional details are being released at this time out of respect for the families involved and the integrity of the investigation. Further information will be provided when appropriate,” GBCPD said in the press release. The department noted the investigation is ongoing, with no other details released as of this edition’s press time.
