Gun Barrel City‑ Press release from the Gun Barrel City  Police Department, August 8.
Local man found deceased after going missing,  Michael Gray, from Gun Barrel City, was reported missing on August 5. The Gun Barrel City Police Department, along with TEXSAR and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, conducted extensive coordinated searches in the area where Gray was last seen. He was located in the North Twin Creek area, which includes dense woods and water.
Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Jamie Fawns pronounced Gray deceased at the scene and ordered an autopsy. His body was transported to American Forensics in Mesquite.
We extend our gratitude to the following responders for their tireless efforts: Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Gun Barrel City Fire Department, Eustace Fire Department, Seven 
Points Fire Department, Trinidad Fire Department, Mabank Fire Department, District 13 Fire  Department, Gun Barrel City Fire Department, HEAL-Corp, TDJC K-9, Texas Department of 
Public Safety Aviation, Justice of the Peace Precinct 2, and Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR). This incident showcased a true collaborative effort, with many individuals working around the clock.
