County seeks next Pct. 2 JP after resignation

HENDERSON COUNTY–During its Oct. 8 meeting, Henderson County Commissioners’ Court acknowledged a resignation letter from Seven Points-based Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Kevin Pollock, effective Jan. 5.
County Judge Wade McKinney said a letter dated Sept. 27 from Pollock lays out Pollok’s plans for his future “and we do wish him the best,” thanking Pollock for his years of service. The court then voted to start accepting applications and resumes for the post.

Brenda Gale Leighton, 77, of Enchanted Oaks, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2024. Born Nov. 5, 1946 in Winnsboro Brenda was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother and friend, known for her kindness and ability to easily make friends with everyone she met.
Brenda graduated from Mesquite High School and received certification for advanced medical training. She dedicated her career to helping others and specialized in doctor office management, medical billing and coding. She loved her patients, doctors and peers.
