Jerry Cannon, Sr.

Jerry Cannon, Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 12. He was born on November 8, 1941, in Quinlan.
 Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and is a life-member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4376, Seven Points. He is also a Charter Member of the American Legion, Post 310, Gun Barrel City, as well as a member of the American Legion Riders of post 310. Jerry really enjoyed riding his bike to the local nursing homes at Christmas to take gifts to Veteran’s in the homes.
 Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of Gun Barrel City; daughters Debbie Russell of Seven Points, and Tammy Reynolds and husband, Tommy, of Campbell; son, Jerry “JJ” Cannon, Jr., of Gunn Barrel City; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
 A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at the American Legion Post 310 in Gun Barrel City, on Sunday, August 2, at 2 p.m.
