Greg and Caroline Figueroa, the team behind Fig’s Entertainment Group, are continuing their mission to make the west side of Cedar Creek Lake one of the best destinations in East Texas for food, drinks, live music, and entertainment.
After building local favorites including Fig’s Italian Steak House, Fig’s Backyard, and Cedar Creek Plowboys Club, the Figueroas are now introducing their newest concept: The Playground Bar & Grill, located at 1201 N. Tool Drive in Tool, Texas.
Open Thursday through Sunday, The Playground combines a full bar and grill with leagues, games, and social entertainment under one roof. Guests can enjoy pool, cornhole, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, foosball, giant beer pong, poker tables, steer roping,  ring toss, ladder toss, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, backgammon, chess, checkers, dominoes, cards, Uno, Monopoly, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Battleship, Clue, Connect 4, and other classic party and board games.
The venue is designed for both casual nights out and organized league play, giving locals and visitors a new reason to gather every week. The food and drink program is built for fun, too, with cold beer, cocktails, and a grill menu featuring crowd-friendly favorites perfect for groups, families, friends, and league players.
For Greg and Caroline Figueroa, The Playground is part of a larger vision. Fig’s Italian Steak House brought elevated dining to the lake. Fig’s Backyard created a casual outdoor food and music atmosphere. Plowboys Club brought a true Texas dance hall, live music venue, and honky-tonk experience to Cedar Creek Lake. Now, The Playground adds another layer: interactive entertainment.
Together, these venues are helping transform the west side of Cedar Creek Lake into a true destination for dining, dancing, games, concerts, celebrations, and weekend fun.
“We want people to have more reasons to stay on this side of the lake, bring their friends, enjoy great food, listen to music, play games, and make memories,” said Greg Figueroa.
With The Playground Bar & Grill now joining the Fig’s Entertainment Group family, Tool and the west side of Cedar Creek Lake continue to grow as the place to eat, drink, play, and celebrate.
