KERENS–The Kerens High School fishing team started the season strong with a fourth place victory at the second Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament of the year for the Mextroplex/Central Division at Oak Cove Marina on Richland Chambers Lake Oct. 21.
The team of Grant Randle and Leland Combs with Captain Prince claimed fourth place with a catch of five fish totaling 16.84 pounds. The boys were given plaques and a prize of $125 for their win.
