GREENVILLE–The Mabank Lady Panthers’ basketball season came to an end in the Bi-district round of the playoffs Feb. 13 against the North Lamar Pantherettes at Greenville High School.

Mabank sophomore Bailey Litchfield deposited the first basket of the game for the Lady Panthers with 1:40 remaining in the first quarter as Mabank trailed 6-2 entering the second quarter.
Litchfield added another layup with Taylor Granger knocking down two free throws to cut the deficit for Mabank to 9-6.
Madisyn Roberts hit a three-pointer for the Lady Panthers late with freshman Jayda Searcy adding a layup as North Lamar held a six-point lead, 17-11, at halftime.
Senior Savannah Wagner hit a shot off the glass to open the third quarter for the Lady Panthers. Wagner would add a three-point play on an and-1 later in the quarter, but the Lady Panthers still trailed 33-21 entering the final eight minutes of regulation.
North Lamar began to pull away in the fourth quarter as baskets from Mabank’s Jacy Jones and a three-pointer from Litchfield cut the deficit to 13 points. Litchfield added a late steal and layup with Chloe Ingram hitting a three-pointer for Mabank’s final points of the game.
Litchfield led the way offensively for the Lady Panthers with 11 points against North Lamar.
