Body John David Hardy Sr., known to most as “Dave” and “Papaw,” passed away peacefully Oct. 16, 2022 in Forney. David was born in Dallas March 18, 1943 to Earl M. Hardy and Ila Fern Prater Hardy. David touched the lives of so many people.

Body Betty Frances Whitton Porter, 91, of Mabank and Gun Barrel City passed away Oct. 8, 2022 in Athens, surrounded by her family. Betty was born Jan. 11, 1931, the child of William Elijah and Bertie Lou Whitton.

Body Pauline Puryear Faircloth, 87, peacefully passed away Oct. 3, 2022, after a battle of Alzheimer’s.  She is rejoicing with her Savior and her husband James C. Faircloth. Pauline was born July 14, 1935 in Harnett Co., N.C. and lived a full life with nine siblings on a farm.

Body Billie Farley was born April 18, 1928 to parents Robert Lyle and Jewell (Nix) Roberts in Shamrock and passed away Oct. 7, 2022 in Royse City.   Billie married Johnnie William Farley Jan. 18, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Body Haskell Wayne Henry “Pat” was born Sept. 23, 1941 in Snyder, Okla., to Haskell (Hack) and Etta Henry.  He was the youngest of four surviving children. Identical twin sisters Janet and Julia and sister Mary.

Body Mary Elizabeth Carreno was born Feb. 23, 1983 to parents Tonja Jo Hall and Donnie Carreno. She entered into eternal rest Sept. 13, 2022.  Mary Elizabeth “Beth” as she was known to friends and loved ones, was a strong and determined woman.

Body Jerry Richey was born Aug. 5,1954 in Athens and passed away Sept. 18, 2022.  In his youth, Jerry served in the U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea. He has periodically lived off the grid but for the last eleven years, he lived in Mabank with his partner in life Helle Lauersen.

Body William Deloren Arnold entered this world Sept. 12, 1929 and passed on to meet his Maker exactly 93 years on that same date in 2022. Bill was born to Lester Jefferson Arnold and Ottie Mildred Harrison of Eustace.  Bill graduated from Eustace High School in 1946.

Body James Donald Wylie, 64, of Mabank passed away Sept. 23, 2022. James was born Oct. 9, 1957 to parents, James Douglas Wylie and Donna Lee Ruff.  In 1977, James graduated from Mabank High School. On June 12, 1981, James married the love of his life Michele Morris in Kemp.

Body Kathleen Jordan, 81, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called to her heavenly home Sept. 16, 2022. She entered this world March 4, 1941 in Plainwell, Mich., born to William and Martha Kinney. Kathleen was a member of Aley Methodist Church.
