Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–After a four-day trial at the Kaufman County Justice Center, Trevor McEuen was convicted Oct. 23 of capital murder for the killing of his neighbor Aaron Martinez.

Body HENDERSON COUNTY–Christopher Nelson Hood, 48, was convicted of murder in the 2021 shooting death of Brooke Spurgeon according to reports by Henderson County District Attorney Jenny Palmer.

Body HENDERSON COUNTY–Athens resident Monica Figueroa was arrested March 13 in connection with the death of her four-year-old son Grayson Hurt, Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said in a press release.

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–District Attorney Erleigh Norville Wiley announced Aug. 4, the conviction of Margaret Ann Johnston, 80, for murder, a first degree felony offense. Johnston was charged with the murder of her daughter, Connie Lynn Helms, Sept. 14, 2021 at her home in Kaufman.
