SEVEN POINTS‑According to a Nov. 7 press release, Seven Points Mayor Keith Betts said he has placed  the  police department and dispatch on paid administrative leave because of an investigation of a Nov. 6 incident which he did not define. 

Seven Points sets property tax freeze

SEVEN POINTS‑Seven Points City Council met at the Civic Center March 13. The meeting was relocated due to storm damage at city hall. Mayor Keith Betts gave an update on the progress, “the adjuster came last Friday (March 7), we are now waiting on the engineer. But it does not sound favorable for the building to be fixed due to it will have to be brought up to code. The police department was by far the worst hit. ”The temporary location of the city hall is 715 Seven Points Drive (State Highway 274).

March blows in with storms

The Seven Points City Hall is closed due to the damage from storms March 3. Mayor Keith Betts has acquired help from Hamilton 360 to remodel existing office space for the police department, city hall and municipal courts at 715 S. Seven Points Drive (State Highway 274). Betts is hopeful to have all work completed and departments moved into the building by Monday, March 17. Betts is working under a disaster proclamation so the work can be expedited. Seven Points City Council talks road grants, taxes

SEVEN POINTS—During the Nov. 14 regular city council meeting, the City of Seven Points discussed the possibility of a Community Development Block Grant. With a deadline of December, the city will have to work quickly but could receive up to $750,000 of assistance towards road repair, and construction.
