Body KAUFMAN COUNTY—During the May 6 session of the Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court County Judge Jakie Allen extended his appreciation to the voters of Kaufman County for voting for the bond which grants the construction of a new juvenile detention center. 

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY—The Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court held its regular weekly meeting March 18, during which the commissioner’s held a public hearing on the addition of stop signs in an area located in precinct 2. 

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY—Commissioners of Kaufman County met in regular meeting May 21 and heard a presentation from the Childrens Advocacy Center for Kaufman County (CACKC) board chairs.

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–Kaufman County Commissioners voted Dec. 19, 2023 to award funding for the State Highway 34 and US 175 project to Pavecon, an industry-leading paving contractor serving multiple states throughout the country, in the amount of $3,450,477.70.

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–Kaufman County Commissioners heard from Emergency Management Coordinator Steve Howie on severe area flooding and efforts to help those affected at the court’s regular meeting Oct. 31. Howie told commissioners that the area in and around Kaufman had received 14.

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–Commissioners voted to issue a burn ban during the regular meeting Aug. 1. Fire Marshall Paul Ayres told commissioners that during this time of year, conditions often make burning dangerous, and this season is already proving to be high-risk.

Body KAUFMAN COUNTY–Kaufman County Commissioners met in a workshop Jan. 9 and discussed courthouse renovations and plans.
