James R. Parker

James R. Parker, 92, passed away on June 24, 2026.
James was born on September 20, 1933, in Irving. He graduated from Irving High School and went on to attend Northwestern Louisiana College, with additional studies at Southern Methodist University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a lifetime member and past commander of American Legion Post 310. He also enjoyed a successful career with Vought Aeronautics.
James lived a full life centered around family, friendship, and fun. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved and never missed an opportunity to share stories, laughter, and time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Parker. He is survived by his life partner, Judy Kuster; his son, David Parker; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. 
James will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
