Martha (Patty) Dean Ringley passed away peacefully in her home Aug. 24, 2022 one day before her 98th birthday. Patty was born Aug. 25, 1924 to parents Martha and Lewis Harmon in Claypool, Ariz.
Patty was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Patty was an avid gardener who spent many happy hours tending to her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed quilting, dancing, was a spirited card and game player, reading and was one of the first members of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
A longtime resident of Dallas she made a career as a secretary and executive assistant at RCA until retirement. As a young woman she was a “Rosie the Riveter” working at an aircraft plant in Scottsdale, Ariz., during World War II. That spirit and ethic stayed with her throughout her life.
She moved with her daughter Pauline to Tool in 2015 to be nearer to her son and daughter-in-law Phil and Cherry Ringley.
She enjoyed going to The Literary Club at The Library at Cedar Creek Lake and had many friends there. Another of her favorite things was sitting on her front porch visiting with all her neighbors.
Patty will be greatly missed by her sons Mike and Phil (Cherry) Ringley, daughter Pauline Rendsland, granddaughter Heather (Ron) Campbell, grandsons Derek and Phillip Ringley, great-grandsons Carson (Megan) Campbell, Clayton (Jordon) Campbell and Ian Campbell.
The family would like to thank Home Instead for their care and compassion in assisting Patty this past year.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Library at Cedar Creek Lake, Seven Points, TX. No service is planned at this time
Patty believed she got more out of life than she gave but in the end she gave her physical body to science to further knowledge. We hope they find something worthwhile but they won’t find what made her special. That stays with us in our hearts forever.
