Curtis Alan Webster
Curtis Alan Webster, 79, of Haslet passed away peacefully Sept. 3, 2024.
Curtis was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend and his life was defined by service, love for his family and a commitment to his community and country.
Curtis was born in Salem, Ill., to Morris and Helen Louise Webster in 1945. He attended Permian High School in Texas and was proud to be a cheerleader for the Panthers.
Following high school, Curtis served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a field artillery gunner, where he forged the values of resilience and loyalty that he carried throughout his life.
In the 1980s Curtis met the love of his life, Chong Webster in Odessa and they were later married in a beautiful ceremony in Hawaii. The decades they shared together were filled with love, joy and cherished memories, leaving a legacy of devotion.
Professionally, Curtis was well-respected, holding the position of Senior Vice President of Real Estate Services at Guaranty Bank, where he oversaw 150 branches throughout Texas as he shaped the retail landscape by developing shopping centers across Texas, North Carolina, Colorado, Illinois and Florida.
He also worked as a staff appraiser for Home Savings Association and had a successful career as a realtor since 1982, selling many properties in the Cedar Creek Lake area before retiring.
Curtis’s involvement in his community was extensive. He served as City Councilman in both Odessa and Gun Barrel City, Secretary/Treasurer of the Economic Development Corporation, President of the American Business Club, President of the Henderson County Board of Realtors and was inducted into the Henderson County Realtors Association Hall of Fame. He was also a former member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Curtis’s dedication to his work and community left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Carla Tyree and Marti Lanier.
He is survived by his loving wife, daughters Liz Jones, Rebecca Mahoney and Rhonda Gideon, brothers Daren Webster and Michael Webster and his grandchildren, many friends and loved ones.
Funeral services were held Sept. 13, 2024 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home followed by a committal at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
