Taylor W. Golden passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2023, he was 100 years old. Taylor was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Minturn, Ark. 
He spent most of his childhood in Black Oak, Ark. He graduated from Monette High School in Monette, Ark. and attended Arkansas State University.
Taylor served in the U.S. Army, Company M 153rd Infantry during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. In 1950, he married Martha L. Gilmer of Jonesboro, Ark. They had sons David and Douglas. 
He worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce and in 1961 was transferred to Dallas. After retiring from the Commerce Department, Taylor and Martha moved to Cedar Creek.
Taylor and Martha were very active in the community and were dedicated members of St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church. Taylor helped find and purchase the land for the current church building and was instrumental in the building process.
Taylor was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing, fishing and boating on Cedar Creek Lake. His grandsons have fond memories of many summer days spent fishing and water skiing with him and Martha. He was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary on the lake.
Taylor was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and his beloved wife of 58 years who passed away in 2006.
He is survived by his sons, daughter Deborah Daboub of Santa Fe, N.M. and grandsons Joel Daboub of Austin, Micah Daboub of Santa Fe, N.M. and Taylor Sharp of Dallas.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27, 2023 at St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church. 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to St. James on the Lake Scholarship Foundation.
