Kemp baseball holds Senior Night versus Bears

Kemp senior Adrian Culpepper is the king of the hill while winding up and peering at his target as he pitches for the Yellowjackets in his last game.

KEMP-The Kemp Yellowjackets hosted the Brownsboro Bears April 24 for Senior Night as they wrapped up their 2026 regular season. The seniors honored included trainer Carly Williams along with players Dayne Postlethwait, Adrian Culpepper and Nathan Dunn.
The Bears led 6-0 after the first inning. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded and one out with Cody Johnson at the plate, Kemp got on the board on a wild pitch. Then, in the bottom of the third inning with two outs, the Bears scored two more runs with an RBI single to extend their lead to 8-1.
After both teams went scoreless in the fourth and fifth innings, Brownsboro scored six more runs in the top of the sixth inning thanks to a run scoring on a wild pitch, a two-run RBI single and a two-run RBI double as they led 14-1. The Bears went on clinch their victory by run rule after the bottom of the sixth.
