KEMP–During April 30’s Senior Night, the Kemp Yellowjackets baseball team cranked out 14 hits on their way to a regular season-ending 13-6 victory over the Rice Bulldogs.
Kemp scored three runs in the first inning, one in the second, three more in the third, another run in the fourth and tacked on five runs in the sixth inning.
For Kemp, Ethan Vincent led the way by going 3-for-4. In addition, Cody Johnson, Boston Rogers and Zach Dunn (who stole three of Kemp’s five total bases on the night) also had multiple hits for the Yellowjackets.
Johnson hit a double and a single (with a sacrifice bunt), Dunn picked up two singles and Rogers had a single and triple. Braylen Gibson, Vincent and Cole Baty also drove in two runs apiece for Kemp.
