Mabank sophomore Matthew Ratley successfully bunts against Wills Point.

MABANK–April 5, the Mabank Panthers dominated against the Wills Point Tigers, winning 7-3.
The Panthers put two runs on the board in the first inning, with senior Hagen Tijerina hitting a ball up the middle, bringing his teammates, senior Pierce Fulton and sophomore Matthew Ratley, to home plate. Shortly following, in the bottom of the second inning, Fulton scored another Panther run.
During the third inning, the Panthers increased their lead, with junior Ty Perkins, sophomore Matthew Ratley and freshman Cameron Van Horn scoring. In the top of the fourth inning, senior Cayden Truelove caught a pop fly ball, resulting in the Tigers’ first out, and Ratley mirrored the action in the top of the fifth, moving the Panthers into another round of batting.
In the bottom of the fifth, Perkins stole second base while Van Horn was up to bat. In the top of the sixth inning, Perkins relieved Tijerina on the mound. In the same inning, Truelove threw out two Wills Point runners at first on two chances.
