Kenneth Duncan

Kenneth Duncan, 87, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place May 27, 2023.
He entered this world July 10, 1935 in Hawkins born to John Henry and Jessie Fay (Morrison) Duncan. 
Kenneth was a truck driver as well as a bulldozer operator. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kind, loving, hard-working man who never met a stranger.

Louise Reece Galloway

Body

Louise Reece Galloway resided for 30 years in Star Harbor before her unexected passing recently. 
She moved here from San Angelo and Bartlesville, Okla., with her husband Harlan and they joined the First Baptist Church in Malakoff and participated in many many activites Cedar Creek Lake offers. 
Educated and married in Altus, Okla., Louise was born at a time of incredible difficulties, at a period in time when making gut-wrenching choices was frequent.

Edward Charles Page, 83, of Kemp went to be with the Lord May 24, 2023.  Edward was born Nov. 8, 1939, to Sidney Amary and Effie Esther (Williamson) Page in Dallas.  
Edward married Lynda (Davidson) Page Jan. 21, 1986, in Kaufman and they have spent a loving 37 years together.  
For 40 years of his life, he worked as a Jet Engine Mechanic at Dallas Love Field. 
He greatly enjoyed working with his hands, his hobbies included antique tractors, auto mechanics and ranching.

Sherrie Justine Luman

Body

Sherrie Justine Luman passed away surrounded by her loved ones May 22, 2023, at her home in Mabank, after losing her battle to cancer.
Sherrie’s greatest love was spending time with her family. What she really enjoyed the most in life was riding Harleys with her husband across the United States. Sherrie enjoyed her quiet time and drinking coffee in her red rocker on her front porch while watching her two fur babies playing in the yard.

Harry Millard Fife, Jr.

Harry Millard Fife, Jr. passed away May 14, 2023, in Tyler after a short illness. He was born July 24, 1939, in Terrell to Harry M. Fife and Leota Mislivets Darby.  
At the age of five, he moved to Richardson where he was raised by his mom and stepfather Harold Thomas.
After graduating high school, Harry entered Texas Tech University in Lubbock where he took his basic courses.

Lynn Byron Brantley

Lynn Byron Brantley, 80, of Kemp went to be with the Lord May 22, 2023. Lynn was born Oct. 21, 1942, to Cecil Joel and Laura Ethel Brantley in Dallas.  
He grew up in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1961. 
Lynn married Jacqueline Brantley Aug. 15, 1960 and they have spent a loving 62 years together.  
As a teenager, he worked as a barber with his dad and brothers. When he was 20, he decided to join the Dallas Fire Department enjoying a career span of 36 years as a fire and rescue officer from Aug. 1, 1963 to his retirement Aug. 1, 1999.

Carson Wayne Machen

Carson Wayne Machen, 31, passed away May 19, 2023, in Gun Barrel City. Carson was born Oct. 10, 1991, in San Diego, Calif., to parents Samuel and Gina (Jasik) Machen.
Carson was very quiet and reserved but that did not stop him from being the type of person to help others if they needed it. He did not like conflict but if you wronged him, he was quick to forgive you before you even thought to ask for forgiveness. 
Carson was a cook at Molly’s Catfish Corner for 14 years and had recently started working at Texas Clean Professionals.

Jaylin Nathaniel McFadden

Funeral services for Jaylin Nathaniel McFadden, 17, of Mabank, will be held at 5 p.m., May 25, 2023 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home with a visitation following from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. 
Jaylin was a Junior at Mabank High School where he played the saxophone in the band.  He loved his music.  
Jaylin was a loving and kind person and impacted those he met, even just for a moment.  He helped other people in life when they were struggling.  
Jaylin was a role model student, brother, son, and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Olivia Huffhines Pearson

Olivia Huffhines Pearson was born to Oliver and Mildred (Prewitt) Huffhines Feb. 13, 1944 in Richardson. Olivia passed away April 26, 2023 in Athens. 
Olivia was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother.  She previously had a successful career as a bookkeeper which spanned many years before retiring to the lake.  
In retirement, Olivia could be found with her husband Bob out on the golf course or relaxing on the boat. Though she didn't initially enjoy golfing, it grew to be one of her favorite pastimes and brought her immense joy.

Lloyd Joe Thrasher

Lloyd Joe Thrasher, 82, of Mabank will be laid to rest at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023. Pastor Billy Smith will officiate. There will be an open visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  May 24, 2023 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Lloyd passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family May 18, 2023. He was born August 18, 1940 in Ben Wheeler to Archie and Gertha Lorene (Conger) Thrasher. 
He accepted Christ as a teenager and was a member of Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens.
