Kerens clobbers Neches

Kerens pitcher Kannon Ritchie strikes out five of six Neches batters he faces in two innings.
KERENS–The Kerens Bobcats scored 13 runs in the second inning to whip the Neches Tigers March 28, with Kerens run-ruling their visitors 15-0 to stay unbeaten in district play and win their twelfth game in a row.
In the second inning, Matthew Rickard of Kerens singled, stole second base and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Adrian Solis then walked and stole second. Rickard scored the Bobcats’ first run when the throw trying to nab Solis went into center field, which also advanced Solis to third. Solis scored the Bobcats’ second run on a wild pitch.
Later, Lane Lynch singled in Daniel Conklin for Kerens’ third run; Lynch took second on the throw to the plate. Pitcher Kannon Ritchie drilled a single to drive in Lynch, increasing the Kerens lead to 4-0. Kannon Ritchie’s courtesy runner, Musiq Gunnell, eventually scored the fifth run of the inning on successive wild pitches.
Continuing, Krayton Ritchie walked, Andrew Conklin singled and a Rickard bloop single scored Krayton Ritchie (6-0, Kerens). A Solis double brought home Gunnell and Andrew Conklin, increasing the Bobcat lead to 8-0. Later, Solis scored again on a Ryan Priddy hit (9-0), a balk brought home JJ Hightower (10-0) and Daniel Conklin doubled home Priddy (11-0).
Next, Daniel Conklin scored on a Lynch hit (12-0). Lynch moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Kannon Ritchie single, accounting for the thirteenth run of the half-inning. Kerens plated two more runs in the bottom of the third on bases-loaded walks, ending the game early.
