GBC Mayor Crull cruises to reelection

CEDAR CREEK LAKE—Registered voters from around the Cedar Creek Lake area are faced with big decisions leading up to the March 3 primary election, all the way up to United States senator. Early voting starts Tuesday, Feb. 17 and continues through Friday, Feb. 27 (see The Monitor’s Voters Guide).
HENDERSON, KAUFMAN and VAN ZANDT COUNTIES—Voters turned out in Tool, Eustace, Mabank, Trinidad and elsewhere around the Cedar Creek Lake area for the Nov. 4 constitutional amendment/joint election to make their choice on state and local propositions, as well as selecting their municipal representatives.
CEDAR CREEK LAKE—The Nov. 5 general election for presidential, state, and local office results are as follows. Results printed are as of press time at 10:12 p.m., Nov. 5.
In the Henderson County presidential race Donald J. Trump took the lead with 31 ,252 votes, Kamala D. Harris followed with 6,875 votes, Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver earned 151 votes followed by Green Party candidate Jill Stein with 78 votes.
The senator race shows Ted Cruz leading with 29,932 votes, Colin Allred with 7,405 votes and Libertarian candidate Ted Brown with 713 votes.
CEDAR CREEK LAKE—The Mabank ISD Bond was approved by voters during the May 4 election with 826 votes for the bond from Henderson County and 566 votes from Kaufman County. “It’s a great day in the land of the Panther! The Board of Trustees and I thank the voters for supporting the bond proposal. It is a great step forward for both the students and the entire Mabank ISD community. You have my commitment and the commitment of the Board of Trustees to continue being good stewards of your money as we move forward with construction.
CEDAR CREEK LAKE—The May 4 election will decide places for surrounding city, school and water district boards along with a bond election up for vote for Mabank ISD.

In the Henderson County Commissioner Precinct 1 race Wendy Kinabrew Spivey won with 1,534 votes against Brad Skiles and Mike McCabe with 999 and 262 votes respectively.
CEDAR CREEK LAKE–The Nov. 8 election which decides area city council and school board trustee positions results are as follows. Results are as of press time at 10:05 p.m.
In the City of Tool election to elect a candidate for one - one year term John Brasfield won with 357 votes against Kathleen Donoghue who earned 307 votes. Three-two-year terms for Tool City Council were decided from four candidates. Candidates Greg Figueroa, Mark Holley and Incumbent Mike Dumont won those seats with 434, 275 and 304 votes respectively. Stephanie Love earned 235 votes.
