Eustace’s Andrews makes All-State softball team

EUSTACE–Madilyn Andrews has been named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class 3A All-State Softball Team for her performance on the field for the 2024 Eustace High School Lady Bulldogs.
Making the Honorable Mention list as a utility player, Andrews led her team to the postseason as a junior by hitting .702, racking up 59 hits, scoring 31 runs, driving in 29 runs and hitting 16 doubles, according to MaxPreps. In 29 pitching appearances, Andrews struck out 148 batters over 128.1 innings, MaxPreps stats show.

Cross Roads softball advances to 2A Regional Finals

The Cross Roads Lady Cats win the Regional Semifinal round in Rusk with a sweep of Shelbyville May 17 (10-4) and May 18 (9-5) to advance in the Class 2A playoffs. Cross Roads will face Beckville in the Region III Finals; that best-of-three series is scheduled May 22-24 at Lindale.
