Beverly Sipes

B.J. Sipes (Beverly Sipes) of Tool met her Savior face to face on Sunday morning, Sept. 3, 2023 at age 80. 
B.J. loved her family, church family (Cedar Creek Bible Church), community and friends. B.J. enjoyed her years as a businesswoman. She owned and operated The Burger House for many years.
Praise God for His Gift of Salvation for those who confess their sin and place their trust in Jesus by faith alone apart from good works.
B.J. lived her life with that assurance and she died with that hope.

Patty Rene (Graves) Oliver

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patty Rene (Graves) Oliver, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Sept. 4, 2023, at the age of 94, she went to be with her Jesus.
Patty graduated from North Dallas High School in 1946. She met Gene while they were working at Love Field Airport in Dallas. She held multiple executive secretarial positions. Her shorthand and typing were unparalleled.

Whiskers & Wags ‘Pearls & Paws’ Gala is almost sold out

CEDAR CREEK LAKE–The 11th Annual Whiskers & Wags fundraiser is slated for Sept. 23, this year themed “Pearls & Paws,” so don your pearls, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
This year’s event will be held at the CR Legacy Center in Gun Barrel City. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. and as always, the night will be packed with entertainment and fun. All while helping the homeless and abandoned animals in our community.

Jimmie Edwin Tinker

Jimmie Edwin Tinker, 84, of Rural Shade, passed away Aug. 22, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. 
He was married to his wife Marie for 23 years. They were inseparable and loved spending time together. Jimmie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Annette Elizabeth McKinley McNair

Body

Annette Elizabeth McNair, 74, passed away Aug. 23, 2023, in Kemp. She was born Feb. 25, 1949, in Monahans to parents Clifford M. McKinley and Ivey (Pickett) McKinley.
Annette was an incredibly devoted mother and grandmother to her family whom she loved dearly. She was a graduate of the class of 1968 of Kemp High School where she was also a member of the cheerleading and drill team squad where she laughed and boasted as being the worst cheerleaders Kemp ever had.   
She formerly worked at Republic National Bank of Dallas where she would assist with new accounts.

Georgia Lee Crews Doughty

Body

Georgia Lee Crews Doughty was one of eight children born to Evalee Pursley and John Henry Crews Nov. 14, 1929 in Rusk, Cherokee County. She passed peacefully from this earth Aug. 26, 2023 with family at her side.  
Georgia grew up in the Atoy Community, graduating from Rusk High School in 1946 and relocated to Dallas shortly after. 
Georgia and her children moved to Jacksonville in the early 60s where she was employed for many years with Nan Travis Hospital in the dietary department as the assistant to the dietician.
