GUN BARREL CITY—Gun Barrel City is looking for a local star to sing the National Anthem before the fireworks during the annual July Fest concert held Saturday July 27. The annual fest will include Pat Green, Mike Ryan, Blaze of Glory- The Bon Jovi Experience and America’s Got Talent golden buzzer recipient Sky Elements Drones.

GUN BARREL CITY–Get ready for an unforgettable celestial experience during the “Dark in the Park” event, taking place April 7–8 at Gun Barrel City Park. This unique event promises an afternoon filled with music, delectable food from food trucks, exciting vendors offering a variety of goods, camping and the opportunity to witness a spectacular eclipse.
Organized for residents of neighboring areas and Gun Barrel City residents alike, “Dark in the Park” invites attendees of all ages to immerse themselves in a day and night of celestial wonder and community celebration.

GUN BARREL CITY—During the Gun Barrel City Council meeting held Feb. 27, the council unanimously approved two ordinances and a preliminary plat enabling the Pier 334 Development to proceed with development plans.

CEDAR CREEK LAKE–November is election season for several cities around Cedar Creek Lake, some electing officials while others vote on propositions.
In Gun Barrel City, the long-awaited race for mayor includes candidates Debbie DeLeon and Brian Crull.
In Tool, the race for mayor and two city council seats will be decided. Running unopposed for mayor is Councilman Mike Dumont. On the ballot for council is Councilman Michael Fladmark who is seeking reelection. Vera Bennet and Mayor Tommy Lawhon run for council as write-in candidates.
