Eustace-area women charged in alleged jail drug-drop plot

Body ATHENS–The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media release March 15 that it learned of a plan the day before to bring drugs into the Henderson County jail in Athens via an eczema cream tube, leading to the arrest of two Eustace-area women.

Sheriff investigates abandoned child report

Body HENDERSON COUNTY–Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded along with Emergency Medical Services to a report that a child had been abandoned in the driveway of a home on State Highway 19 just outside Athens Oct. 29, according to a report on the HCSO social media.
