Patsy Ruth Rogers

Celebration of Life services for Patsy Ruth Rogers, 87, of Mabank were held Nov. 1, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, with Pastor Matt Faircloth officiating. 
Patsy passed from this life Oct. 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Dallas to J. C. and Ruth Beach (Chase) Dean. 
Patsy grew up in Dallas before graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. She then married the love of her life, Billy Rogers, in 1965 over Labor Day Weekend and was blessed with 38 wonderful years together.

Kenneth Royce Penland

Kenneth Royce Penland, 83, of Mabank, passed away peacefully at his home Oct. 16, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the devoted husband of Karen Jane Penland for 57 wonderful years.
Born in Altus, Okla., Kenneth was the son of the late Richard Franklin Penland and Vera Virginia Crossman Penland. 
At the age of 12, his family moved to Dallas, where he would spend much of his life.
Kenneth dedicated 30 years of service as a proud member of the Local Teamsters 745 with Consolidated Freightways, retiring in 1999.

Ethan Ray Eshbach

Ethan Ray Eshbach, 24, of Kemp went to be with the Lord Oct. 11, 2024.  
Ethan was born at home Nov. 9, 1999, to Ernest and Maryann Eshbach in Kemp.  
Ethan has worked with his dad since a child, but officially joined the family woodworking business when he was 18.  
On April 23, 2022, he married Geneva Brubaker and the Lord blessed this marriage union with twin boys Derek and Deryl.  
Ethan enjoyed spending time fixing things; whether installing cabinets, mechanic work or helping family and friends.

Robert was born to Robert Sr., and Eleanor Messenger Aug. 19, 1952 in Winsted, Conn. and passed away Oct. 12, 2024 at the age of 72.
He moved to Texas in the 70s where he finally landed at Cedar Creek Lake in the early 80s. 
Bob was an avid motorcycle rider and mechanic. He enjoyed riding his Harley every chance he got.

Brenda Gale Alford Leighton

Brenda Gale Leighton, 77, of Enchanted Oaks, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2024. Born Nov. 5, 1946 in Winnsboro Brenda was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother and friend, known for her kindness and ability to easily make friends with everyone she met.
Brenda graduated from Mesquite High School and received certification for advanced medical training. She dedicated her career to helping others and specialized in doctor office management, medical billing and coding. She loved her patients, doctors and peers.

Margaret Anne Sherrill

Anne Sherrill, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place Sept. 1, 2024. She entered this world Feb. 19, 1946 in Mississippi.
Anne had a vast knowledge in many subjects, including nursing, financial and ministry. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing, was an ordained minister through the Assembly of God church. She was also the president of the Cedar Creek Republican Club and a member of the Henderson County Republican Party.
Anne was preceded in death by her mother Mary Kersey and sons William Ashley Kendrick and Anthony Christian Kendrick.

Kerry Jo Dollgener

Kerry Jo Dollgener went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 13, 2024 at the age of 51. 
She passed away of pneumonia in Tyler after a long, hard-fought battle with breast cancer. 
In life, Kerry never knew a stranger. She treated everyone she met like family and her patience and forgiveness had no limits.

Virginia Ann Taylor

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Ann Taylor (née Holt), known affectionately by many as GeeGee, Sept. 19, 2024, at the age of 87. 
Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
Born Jan. 2, 1937, Virginia spent her life dedicated to her family and friends. She was known for her unwavering strength, compassion, and the joy she brought to others.

Roger Allan Barker

Body

Roger Allan Barker, 80, passed away Sept. 18, 2024. He was born in Ft. Worth Nov. 3, 1943, the youngest child of Caroline Marie Bussolari Barker and Donald Sanborn Barker.
Roger graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1961 and attended Arlington State College (now UT-Arlington). It was in college that he met his future bride in typing class. 
He joined the Army Reserves in 1966 and was honorably discharged in July of 1970. During that time, he reconnected and married his college friend, Alice Marie Hendricks.

Rosemary Dean Farmer was an extraordinary woman. Rosemary was born in 1927 and raised in Rushville, Ill. and passed away peacefully in Dallas Sept. 11, 2024. 
Rosemary’s journey in life was guided by her love of family and friends and her career as a dedicated teacher.
Rosemary’s greatest joy came from her family, whom she cherished above all else. 
She was a devoted wife to Giles Farmer for 65 years who preceded her in death and caring sister of John Dean who also preceded her in death.
