Stephanie Arnold, a pillar of grace and a beacon of love, passed away at her home in Gun Barrel City Jan. 20, 2025, at the age of 64. Born March 29, 1960, in Wichita Falls, Stephanie's life was a tapestry of warmth, devotion and generosity, woven together by the threads of family, faith and community.

Graveside services for Erma Reynolds, 84, of Eustace, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Payne Springs Cemetery, with Troy Allen officiating. The services are under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reynolds passed away Jan. 20, 2025, in Eustace.
Erma Rebecca (Campbell) Reynolds was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Cotton Valley, La., to Oscar Alex Campbell and Emma Rebecca (Boies) Campbell. 
She graduated from Carthage High School and, as a teenager, attended the Louisiana Hayride, where she saw Elvis perform before he became famous.

Kay Byers of Eustace, passed away Jan. 8, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born Aug. 7, 1933 in Bobtown, Va., to the late Robert and Edith Kemmerle.
Kay enjoyed all activities that involved gaining new knowledge and sharpening her memory. 
She loved spending time with family and friends and serving as Treasurer for Moorehead - Melton Cemetery. She was a trustworthy steward of cemetery funds and oversaw the management and upkeep of the cemetery while providing support to families in their time of need.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Hagan Henry Chandler III, beloved husband, dad and grandad. Hagan left us Jan. 10, 2025 at the age of 82.
Hagan was born in Dallas and spent most of his life living in East Texas. 
He was a man of immense humor and wisdom. He cherished every moment spent with his family. His passion for horse racing and his great spirit will forever be remembered. 
Hagan was a graduate of UT Arlington and a long time businessman, owning and operating Chandler’s Cleaners alongside his family for 33 years.

Jerry Byron Hughey

Celebration of Life services for Jerry Byron Hughey, 75, of Mabank were held Jan. 14, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank with Pastor David Jordan officiating. 
Jerry passed from this life Jan. 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19, 1949, in Mabank to Robin Leroy and Floy Oneta (Black) Hughey. 
Jerry grew up attending school in Mabank before joining the United States Army, becoming a Vietnam veteran and recipient of a bronze star for meritorious action in combat.

Gregory Alan Mosley

Gregory Alan Mosley entered into eternal rest Dec. 26, 2024 at the age of 63. He was born Dec. 18 in Dallas to Herbert Mosley and Vera Carver. 
Greg was a resident of the Cedar Creek Lake area for over 40 years and during that time he was a member of the Trinidad Volunteer Fire Department and proudly involved in the American Legion Post 310.
He had many friends and was known to bring joy and laughter to those around him. Many got to know Greg through his job at Groom & Sons’ in Mabank, where he worked for over 15 years.

Ann Brennan, 84, of Gun Barrel City, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dallas Feb. 8, 1940, she lived a life defined by love, generosity and unwavering strength.  
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mildred Smith, grandson Jeremy Don Brennan, brothers John Smith, Walter Smith, T.A. Smith, Fred Smith, Arthur Smith and Jack Smith, sisters Francis Warren, Sue Kirby and Millie Stringfellow.

Janet Ann Waldman Countryman

Janet Ann Waldman Countryman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, went to be with the Lord Dec. 24, 2024, at the age of 81. Janet was born Feb. 1, 1943, in New Jersey to Louis and Ruth Waldman. 
As a child, her family moved to California, where she would later meet her husband Gerald, while he was stationed in the Navy. Together, they moved to Mabank where they built a life filled with love, joy and adventure.

Jerry Don “JD” White

Jerry Don “JD” White, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the Brister Ranch Dec. 20, 2024. He was born July 8, 1946 to Eldon and Vergie White in Corsicana. 
Upon graduation from Corsicana High School in 1965, Jerry went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University where he would meet his wife and love of his life, Rose Lefner. He enlisted in the Army and was active duty as a Lieutenant in the Vietnam War. 
Upon returning from war, Jerry and Rose lived in El Paso, Des Moines, Iowa and Dallas. 

White

Willow Deen Wier

Willow Deen Wier, 97, of Mabank went to be with Jesus Dec. 12, 2024. She was born in Dallas Jan. 27, 1927. 
Deen and her husband were married in 1949 and lived in Dallas until 1973 at which time they moved to Mabank. 
She worked at the Mabank public schools as a teaching assistant. Deen and husband RW were active members of the First Methodist Church in Mabank. They enjoyed traveling the United States with their camping group and seeing the sites. 
Before his death Deen and RW celebrated 65 years of marriage.
