Linda Fletcher

Linda Fletcher, 82, of Mabank met Jesus Oct. 31, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Linda was born Dec. 30, 1940 at home in Huntington to Jewel Bishop Thomas and Robert Thomas.
She graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Pleasant Grove in 1959.
Linda married Larry Fletcher, the love of her life in 1980. They traveled the world together.
Linda was very active in the Lions Club, Meals on Wheels, Rotary Club, the Good Sam’s Club, Eastern Star and Square dancing as well as being active in the Presbyterian Church of Mabank.

Wanda L. Benson

Wanda L. Benson, 94, passed away Nov. 5, 2023, in Mabank. She was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Pontiac, Mich., to parents Earl and Martha (Dowdy) Giles.
Wanda’s life was filled with rich experiences and cherished moments. One of her proudest accomplishments was marrying John in Ithaca, N.Y. July 11, 1953. Their union was a testament to their unwavering love and commitment to each other over the years.

Carla Jean Steffan Moser

Carla Jean Steffan, née Moser, passed away at home in Payne Springs the morning of Oct. 24, 2023 at the age of 71. Carla was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Thomas and Carolyn Moser Aug. 23, 1952, the eldest of four children. 
She had a passion for caring for those in need, especially children and animals. Carla’s artistic talent was on display through any project she chose to pursue. 
Carla was preceded in death by her parents and brother Anthony (Tony).

Services for Craig Jennings were held Oct. 28, 2023 in the Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel. 
Craig Elton Jennings was born March 5, 1975, in Bossier City, La., to the late David and Carolyn (Johnson) Jennings and passed away Oct. 23, 2023. 
He was a graduate of Mabank High School and received his Master's Degree in Social Work from Texas A&M University Commerce.

Jo Ann Wells

Body

Jo Ann Wells, 80, of Mabank affectionately,”Jody,” passed Oct. 24, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1943 in Dallas to her late parents George and Oneida Benker.
Jo Ann was raised in Dallas and attended Crozier Tech High School. She married her late husband, Charlie D. Wells Aug. 10, 1968. They raised their daughter and founded the Access Floor Specialist business, which later became Allied Interiors in the Dallas area from which she retired.

Edward H. Hughes

Edward H. Hughes, of Kemp, formerly of Oak Cliff, passed away Oct. 9, 2023 in Tyler at the age of 54.
Edward was born Aug. 5, 1969 in Dallas to James Edward Hughes and Mollie Naomi Chereé Kitchens. 
He graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas and then went on to work as a Field Supervisor at Statewide Remodeling for almost 20 years.

Beverly Sipes

B.J. Sipes (Beverly Sipes) of Tool met her Savior face to face on Sunday morning, Sept. 3, 2023 at age 80. 
B.J. loved her family, church family (Cedar Creek Bible Church), community and friends. B.J. enjoyed her years as a businesswoman. She owned and operated The Burger House for many years.
Praise God for His Gift of Salvation for those who confess their sin and place their trust in Jesus by faith alone apart from good works.
B.J. lived her life with that assurance and she died with that hope.

Patty Rene (Graves) Oliver

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patty Rene (Graves) Oliver, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Sept. 4, 2023, at the age of 94, she went to be with her Jesus.
Patty graduated from North Dallas High School in 1946. She met Gene while they were working at Love Field Airport in Dallas. She held multiple executive secretarial positions. Her shorthand and typing were unparalleled.

Jimmie Edwin Tinker

Jimmie Edwin Tinker, 84, of Rural Shade, passed away Aug. 22, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. 
He was married to his wife Marie for 23 years. They were inseparable and loved spending time together. Jimmie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
