Body Funeral services for Marilyn (Moorman) Tate, 77, of Jacksonville were held June 7, 2025 at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler.  Interment followed at the Flint Cemetery.Marilyn passed away June 2, 2025 at her residence in Jacksonville.

Body Michael Herbert Cloyes, 75, of Gun Barrel City, passed away May 19, 2025. Mike was born in Kansas City, Miss., Dec. 5, 1949 and was a long-time resident of Gun Barrel City.

Body Gary Stephen Barclay, 66, of Gun Barrel City, passed away at his home May 31, 2025 following a battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 5, 1958 in Carthage to Milton Wayne Barclay and Marjorie Overton-Barclay.

Body Laura Lea Strickland, 63, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, was called to her eternal home May 24, 2025. Laura, daughter of Donald and Thelma Strickland, was born Sept. 4, 1961. She was raised in Baton Rouge, La.

Body Betty “Nanny” Conway passed away peacefully at her home May 22, 2025.  She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Quinton, Okla., to Charlie and Etta Weathers.  Her family traveled across the country and settled into Winnsboro where she graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1949.

Body Susan Neal Wisdom, 69, of Eureka, passed away unexpectedly May 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Smith County, daughter of the late Gene and Reba Neal. She was born in Tyler and grew up in Mount Pleasant.

Body Anthony “Tony” Lazaro, 78, of Eustace Taway Nov. 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.  Tony was born Jan. 6, 1946 in New York, N.Y.Tony married Phyllis Caudell in Miami, Fla. and celebrated their 53rd anniversary last May.Tony was preceded in death by his mother Carmen Diaz.

Body It is with sadness we announce the passing of Mary Laveda Tedder. She was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Tool. Her parents were Newt and Mary Pyle. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She lived a long and full life.

Body William Monroe Welch, of Gun Barrel City, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully April 10, 2025, at the age of 85. Born Oct. 7, 1939, Monroe, as he was known to many, lived a life as strong and enduring as the land he loved.

Body Bobby A. Day, 78, of Canton, passed away April 12, 2025 in Tyler. He was born March 24, 1947 in Holton, Kan., to Rufus Edgar and Nova Lay Day.Bobby was a kind and gentle man, cleverly disguised as a grouchy curmudgeon. Kids and animals were always the first to figure him out.
