Jamie Lane Walls

Jamie Lane Walls, born Aug. 8, 1972 in Dallas, to Jimmy and Sindy (Brammer) Frazier, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully at her home in Kemp Oct. 1, 2025. She was a cherished wife, mother and grandmother whose loving and giving nature touched the lives of many.
Jamie was a proud alumna of Scurry-Rosser High School graduating with the class of 1990. She devoted much of her life to her family, embracing her roles as a dedicated housewife and loving mother.

Roy Lynn Mills

Roy Mills, 80, of Tool, passed away Sept. 24, 2025.
Roy was a 1963 graduate of Mabank High School. He and his brother Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy together in 1964 during the Vietnam War. Although together in basic training, togetherness ended there. Roy served out his five years of Naval service with two assignments, both overseas - London, England and Iceland where he was in telecommunications. Throughout his service time he never boarded a ship and wore civilian suits to work.
Roy has been married to his loving wife Rita for 35 years.

Cheryl Dunn

Cheryl Dunn, 57, was born Sept. 8, 1968 and passed away Sept. 11, 2025. 
Cheryl was raised in Balch Springs and lived in Gun Barrel City since 1994.
She loved her family and the Lord most of all. She also loved home cooking, plants and living on the lake.
She was Baptist by faith and a member of Liberty Baptist Church until her health began to fail.
She leaves behind her loving husband Carl, her boys Joseph and Matthew, father Leon Tharp and stepmother Vittoria.

Martha Womack Sawyers, 76, of Dallas passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters Sept. 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer that later spread to her brain.
Born March 24, 1949, in Dallas to Dr. Jack and Mrs. Weta Womack, Martha grew up with a love for life, laughter  and family.

Danny Gene Jones

Danny Gene Jones was born in Hillsboro to Naomi and Buddy Jones June 26, 1946 and he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Sept. 14, 2025 at his home in Kemp.   
Danny was preceded in death by his mother Naomi Hodges, father M.E. Jones, step-father William Hodges, sister Connie Elaine and son Randal Craig Jones.

Dr. James Michael Hanna

Body

Dr. James Michael Hanna (Mike) passed away Sept. 6, 2025, at his home in Huntsville surrounded by family.
Mike was born in Terrell Aug. 12, 1950 to James Louis (Pat) Hanna and Billy Jean (Patterson) Hanna, the oldest of four children.
Mike, as he preferred to be called, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as part of Troop 333 and attributed much of his love of the outdoors to his early scouting experiences.

William (Bill) Hanna

Bill went to be with the Lord Aug. 24, 2025. 
He loved flying model airplanes, riding motorcycles and working puzzles.
Bill was preceded in death by daughter Vicki Hanna and former wife Marilyn Hanna Weedfall.
He is survived by daughter Brenda Dockins, sons Randy Hanna and Tom Hanna, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ronnie James McIninch, 71, of Mabank, passed away unexpectedly, Aug. 8. 2025, of heart failure. 
Ronnie was born Dec. 27, 1952, in Dallas to James Houston McIninch and Lillie Joan (Miller) McIninch.    
Ronnie went to work for Sears Automotive in downtown Dallas right out of high school, where he worked for 20 years until they closed the store in 1993.  He then went to work for Firestone in Carrollton until he retired to the country at age 65.

Deborah Kay Doss

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Kay Doss, a beloved member of our community, who left this world Aug. 18, 2025, at her home, in Kemp surrounded by loved ones. She was born Oct. 12, 1957, in Dallas to parents Jimmie Lou and Clifton Smith, Jr.
Deborah was a proud graduate of Kemp High School, class of 1975, where she was an enthusiastic Yellowjacket. Her spirit and dedication to her hometown were evident in all that she did.

John Allen Manning

John Allen Manning, 84, of Mabank passed away Aug. 14, 2025. He was the husband of Ralaine Reynolds Manning.
Born July 10, 1941, in Edmond, Okla., John was the son of the late John Palmer Manning and Martha Lee Allen Manning.
John attended Mabank Public Schools, graduating in 1959. After graduation, he attended HCJC (TVCC) for two years. He then enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served two years before being Honorably Discharged.
