Body Gary Dempsey Oliver passed peacefully Dec. 9, 2023, in Tyler. He was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Dallas to Dempsey A. and Hortense Hazel (Williams) Oliver. Following school Gary proudly joined the United States Navy and upon returning from Vietnam began his interests in storm chasing. 

Body Randall Keith Weidner was born in Runnels County April 23, 1951 to Betty and Lyod Weidner. He entered eternal peace Dec. 5, 2023 in Burlington, Vt.  Along with his wife Paula, he owned and operated S&W Automotive in Mabank for over 20 years.

Body Sara Geneice Morris, 89, born Nov. 2, 1934, passed away Nov. 24, 2023 in Mabank. Sara was a mother of seven, grandmother, great-grandmother and even great-great-grandmother.

Body Karen Lynn Butterfield Madison, 61, Topeka, Kan., passed away Nov. 16, 2023. Karen was born May 9, 1961, in Topeka, to Karolyn Sharp and Max Butterfield. She was a 1979 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School and earned her paralegal associate degree from Washburn University.

Body In loving memory of Stephen (Steve) Grant Reimers Stephen Grant Reimers, born May 24, 1950, in San Angelo peacefully passed away at the age of 73.  He was the beloved son of John Grant Reimers and Anice Jean (Green) Reimers.

Body The final chapter of Richard K. Bramblitt’s history was written Nov. 19, 2023. He passed peacefully at home, at the age of 83 after a brief hospital stay.   He was known to most as Dick Bramblitt. Dick was a retired Dallas Fire Captain where he served for 30 years.

Body Martha Jean Hutchison LaRue passed away peacefully Nov. 18, 2023, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle with Dementia. She was 88 years old.  A graduate of Mabank High School, class of 1953, Martha remained close to her friends and classmates.

Body Linda Fletcher, 82, of Mabank met Jesus Oct. 31, 2023 surrounded by her family. Linda was born Dec. 30, 1940 at home in Huntington to Jewel Bishop Thomas and Robert Thomas. She graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Pleasant Grove in 1959.

Body Wanda L. Benson, 94, passed away Nov. 5, 2023, in Mabank. She was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Pontiac, Mich., to parents Earl and Martha (Dowdy) Giles. Wanda’s life was filled with rich experiences and cherished moments.

Body Carla Jean Steffan, née Moser, passed away at home in Payne Springs the morning of Oct. 24, 2023 at the age of 71. Carla was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Thomas and Carolyn Moser Aug. 23, 1952, the eldest of four children.
