Eddie Lee Green

Body

Eddie Lee Green passed after 78 years. He was a devoted husband to Cheryl Green for 40 years. 
Eddie was a proud father to children Lorne Green, Samantha Prox, Aubrey Green, Jill Shamlin, Brenda Arevalo, Misty Mace and Christie Farr, grandfather to 15 and great-grandfather to three. 
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, westerns, and Rita’s with family and friends. 
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Agnes Henderson and Billy Green and sisters Elaine and Mildred. 
He is survived by his wife, children and sister Loretta Billings and loving family.

Ed Busch died peacefully at home June 22, 2025 in Mabank. Born Aug. 28, 1944, Ed was a native of Detroit, Mich.
From an early age, Ed dreamed of a career in broadcasting. First casting his lot with local disc jockeys, he landed several jobs at radio stations in Detroit. Soon after, the talk show bug emerged; asked to fill in for a talk show host on vacation, Ed knew where his future lay.

Funeral services for Marilyn (Moorman) Tate, 77, of Jacksonville were held June 7, 2025 at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler.  Interment followed at the Flint Cemetery.
Marilyn passed away June 2, 2025 at her residence in Jacksonville.
She was born July 3, 1947 in Kaufman to Charles Edward and Marie (McKinney) Moorman.  
She was a graduate of Kemp High School class of 1965.  Following graduation she attended Henderson County Junior College and East Texas State University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi and the Texas Student Education Association.

Michael Herbert Cloyes, 75, of Gun Barrel City, passed away May 19, 2025. 
Mike was born in Kansas City, Miss., Dec. 5, 1949 and was a long-time resident of Gun Barrel City. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for many years, retiring from active-duty service in 1989.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Herbert H. Cloyes and Ethel Melba Cloyes (England).

Gary Stephen Barclay

Gary Stephen Barclay, 66, of Gun Barrel City, passed away at his home May 31, 2025 following a battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 5, 1958 in Carthage to Milton Wayne Barclay and Marjorie Overton-Barclay. 
Growing up, Gary lived in Seagoville where he attended Seagoville High School and graduated in 1977. 
In 1994, Gary began his respected career as a Licensed Real Estate Home Inspector, which he excelled at. In 2008 he relocated to Gun Barrel City. 
After meeting cherished wife, Lisa Schmidt, in 2004, they were married Oct. 20, 2018 in Destin, Fla.

Laura Lea Strickland

Laura Lea Strickland, 63, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, was called to her eternal home May 24, 2025. 
Laura, daughter of Donald and Thelma Strickland, was born Sept. 4, 1961. She was raised in Baton Rouge, La., but later moved to San Antonio to receive her BBS from Texas Bible Institute. 
She loved serving the Lord through serving and teaching others. After a varied career in ministry, her final destination was as HR Director at Presbyterian Village North in Dallas.

Betty “Nanny” Conway

Body

Betty “Nanny” Conway passed away peacefully at her home May 22, 2025.  She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Quinton, Okla., to Charlie and Etta Weathers.  
Her family traveled across the country and settled into Winnsboro where she graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1949. She moved to Fort Worth where she met and married James Conway in 1955.  
She worked and retired from Square D Electrical after 40 years of dedicated service. She didn’t “retire” for long, as she worked as a bus monitor for the HEB ISD for five additional years.

Susan Neal Wisdom

Susan Neal Wisdom, 69, of Eureka, passed away unexpectedly May 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Smith County, daughter of the late Gene and Reba Neal. 
She was born in Tyler and grew up in Mount Pleasant. Later, she graduated from Marshall Senior High School where she met her husband before moving to Navarro County to start a family of her own. 
Susan got her bachelors of business administration from Sam Houston St. University in 1977.

Anthony “Tony” Lazaro

Anthony “Tony” Lazaro, 78, of Eustace Taway Nov. 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.  Tony was born Jan. 6, 1946 in New York, N.Y.
Tony married Phyllis Caudell in Miami, Fla. and celebrated their 53rd anniversary last May.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother Carmen Diaz.
