Larry H. Eckert

Larry H. Eckert, 79, of Huntingburg, Ind., passed away Aug. 31, 2022 at Legacy Living in Jasper.
He was born Sept. 25, 1942 in Huntingburg to James L. and Eunice “Lorraine” (Smith) Eckert.  
Larry was a graduate of Huntingburg High School and attended Purdue University. He worked as Regional Sales Manager for North American Products in Indiana and later worked as a realtor in Texas.  
He was a member of the Huntingburg Eagles and the Huntingburg Y.M.I. Club. Larry enjoyed golfing and watching sporting events.

Martha (Patty) Dean Ringley

Martha (Patty) Dean Ringley passed away peacefully in her home Aug. 24, 2022 one day before her 98th birthday. Patty was born Aug. 25, 1924 to parents Martha and Lewis Harmon in Claypool, Ariz. 
Patty was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Patty was an avid gardener who spent many happy hours tending to her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed quilting, dancing, was a spirited card and game player, reading and was one of the first members of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas.

Jessica Dawn Sy

Jessica Dawn Sy, 38, of Mabank passed away Aug. 25, 2022. Jessica was born Aug. 7, 1984 to parents Gary Notley and Debbie Gunderson. 
Jessica married the love of her life Soi Sy in Mabank Nov. 14, 2011. 
She was an outgoing and vibrant woman, one who loved listening to music, going on road trips and absolutely loved driving.
Christian by faith, Jessica attended the Cedar Creek Bible Church. Her huge and kind heart will be missed by all of those she met and knew in her lifetime.

Ralph Ray Binkley

Funeral services for Ralph Ray Binkley, 47, of Mesquite were held Sept. 1, 2022 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.  
Ralph passed away Au. 24, 2022 in Rockwall. He was born Nov. 25, 1974 to Delbert Ray and Deborah Kay Metcalf Binkley.  
Ralph grew up in Mesquite and graduated from West Mesquite High School.  He loved fishing and the outdoors.  Ralph was a plumber for Gibson Plumbing Company.  He loved his sons immensely and called them every day. Ralph never met a stranger. 
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and several other relatives.

Ken Vieux

Body

Ken Vieux went home to join the Lord Aug. 20, 2022. He passed with his wife by his side at Baylor hospital in Dallas. 
Ken strongly believed in his faith and loved his family with his whole heart and was active in each of them until he was no longer able.  
He was born in the Texas panhandle March 27, 1940 to Henri and Nobie Vieux.

James “PeeWee” Lewis McKinney

James “PeeWee” Lewis McKinney, 91, of Tool passed away Aug. 20, 2022. PeeWee was born April 7, 1931 to parents James Edward McKinney and Freddie Mae Gay. 
He married the love of his life, Barbara Jerene Estes April 4, 1953 in Malakoff. Their journey began soon after and had two daughters, Sherrie and Carla. 
James was a caring and doting husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. 

Edmond Charles Bechard

Edmond Charles Bechard was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Chicago, Ill.
After being discharged from the Army, Ed married Margie Erickson and they had three children. They traveled often in their Volkswagen Westphalia Camper. 
Ed loved working with wood, both carving and building furniture or playing “42” with the Mabank “42” club, along with playing “Bridge” at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church. 
He had worked many years as an electrician for General Motors in Arlington.

John C. Stewart

Body

John C. Stewart, Lt Col US AR Ret, was born in Huntsville, Ark., Nov. 28, 1932.  He went to be with the Lord Aug. 22, 2022.
He attended the University of Arkansas and spent his entire career in the insurance field with Employers Casualty, Safeco, American United Life and Cologne Life Re.  
John was the commander of the 519th Maintenance Bn in Dallas for six years and was a graduate of the US Army War College class of 1977.  
Upon retirement, he and his wife Mary, moved to Cedar Creek Lake, where he was active at the First United Methodist Church in Mabank.

Melinda Ann Walters Van Horn

Body

Melinda Ann Walters Van Horn came into this world May 17, 1949, daughter of Marge and Morey Walters in Hollywood, Calif. Melinda went to be with the Lord in one of his many rooms Aug. 10, 2022.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Joyce Lucas and Cynthia Sperry.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years John E. Van Horn, son Jeffrey and wife Tamra, grandsons Gavin and Cameron, who were the love of her life and dog Lulu.
Melinda graduated from W.T. White High School in 1967 and attended Stephen F. Austin. She loved trips to Colorado and Cabo.

Rita Faye Tennyson

Rita Faye Tennyson, 58, passed away Aug. 7, 2022. She was born Feb. 6, 1964 in Dallas to parents Earnest McLeod and Juanita Weeks McLeod.
She met her husband, Jack Tennyson and they married June 10, 1980. 
Rita loved her children Yvonne, Josh and Ethan with all her heart. Spending time with her family was one of her favorite things to do. 
She really enjoyed going to church in the courtyard at her apartment complex, where she made many friends. She will be dearly missed by many people and never forgotten.
