Funeral services for Thelma “Lola” Hawkins Stewart, 95, of Mabank were held Nov. 5, 2022 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home with Bro. Teddy King officiating. Honorary Pallbearers – The Knighton Family.
Lola peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Oct. 30, 2022. She was born Feb. 21, 1927, to Columbus A. Higginbotham and Jessie Florence Newton in Alba.

Funeral services were held for Glenn Kenneth Anthony, 86, of Eustace Oct. 27, 2022 at Eubank Cedar Creek with Bro. Dennis Kirkpatrick officiating.
Glenn passed away peacefully Oct. 24, 2022 in Keller. He was born Nov. 9, 1935 in Eustace to Otis Anthony and Beatrice Gatlin Anthony.
Glenn grew up in Eustace and later moved to Dallas and the Seagoville area. He joined and was active in the National Guard for over eight years.

Matthew Edward Cline

Matthew Edward Cline, 60, of Kaufman left this world for his home in Heaven Oct. 12 2022. Matt, as he was best known, was born in Dallas July 23, 1962 to parents Glen Donald and Mary Rene Cline.
Matt graduated from Kaufman High School in 1980. He was a devoted son and a loving brother. One of the things he cherished most was spending time with family.

Vonda June Thomas

Funeral services for Vonda June Thomas, 80, of Mabank, were held Oct. 21, 2022, at the Mabank Church of Christ with Bob Patterson and Kerry Clark officiating. Interment followed at Elm Grove Cemetery. 
June passed from this life Oct. 18, 2022 in Athens. She was born Sept. 6, 1942 in Van Zandt County to Byron and Floy Lee Autry Black.
June was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ. June helped her husband of 61 years Norman, operate the Mabank Feed and Fertilizer Store for 15 years. She was also the co-owner of the JNT Angus Ranch. She lived for God, family and friends.

Huey Lois Roach Jr. “Sonny”

Huey Lois Roach Jr. “Sonny,” 86, of Whitesboro, passed away Oct. 5, 2022 in Gainesville.  He was born Jan. 31, 1936 to Huey Lois Roach Sr. and Gladys Roach in Dallas. 
Huey spent 22 years in the Air Force and was a Vietnam Vet. He then went to Richland College and worked for Motorola for about seven years. Sonny married Dorothy Roach June 13, 2003. 
He enjoyed playing golf and kept active by walking and keeping busy. 
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jimmie Lois Roach and Norma Frances and brothers Danny Lee Roach, Dewey Lee Roach and Buddy Roach.

John David Hardy Sr.

John David Hardy Sr., known to most as “Dave” and “Papaw,” passed away peacefully Oct. 16, 2022 in Forney. David was born in Dallas March 18, 1943 to Earl M. Hardy and Ila Fern Prater Hardy.
David touched the lives of so many people. He never met a stranger and was always friendly to everyone. He had a heart of gold and would offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. 
Anyone close to David knows the number of people he would offer a place to stay in his home and invited and accommodated them on vacations with his immediate family.

Betty Frances Whitton Porter

Betty Frances Whitton Porter, 91, of Mabank and Gun Barrel City passed away Oct. 8, 2022 in Athens, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born Jan. 11, 1931, the child of William Elijah and Bertie Lou Whitton. She was raised in the Whitton community where she attended the Whitton Community School and Canton High School.  
On Nov. 12, 1948, she married Dalton Porter. Dalton and Betty had three children Sharon Dale, Sue Ann and Keith Dalton.

Pauline Puryear Faircloth

Pauline Puryear Faircloth, 87, peacefully passed away Oct. 3, 2022, after a battle of Alzheimer’s.  She is rejoicing with her Savior and her husband James C. Faircloth.
Pauline was born July 14, 1935 in Harnett Co., N.C. and lived a full life with nine siblings on a farm.  
She married the absolute love of her life, James C. Faircloth Oct. 13, 1954. They both grew up working at tobacco farms in North Carolina where their humble beginnings shaped their lives together.

Billie Farley was born April 18, 1928 to parents Robert Lyle and Jewell (Nix) Roberts in Shamrock and passed away Oct. 7, 2022 in Royse City.  
Billie married Johnnie William Farley Jan. 18, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Okla. 
Billie was a homemaker who loved cooking (especially hamburgers and fried potatoes), gardening, journaling and she loved watching Texas Rangers baseball and Dallas Cowboys football.

Haskell Wayne Henry “Pat”

Haskell Wayne Henry “Pat” was born Sept. 23, 1941 in Snyder, Okla., to Haskell (Hack) and Etta Henry. 
He was the youngest of four surviving children. Identical twin sisters Janet and Julia and sister Mary. He grew up in Kiowa County on the family farm, where he learned a lifelong passion for animals. His father instilled in him at an early age the importance of caring for any and all of God’s creatures. 
Pat had a very wholesome upbringing that made him into the successful and kind man that he became.
