Body Lynn Byron Brantley, 80, of Kemp went to be with the Lord May 22, 2023. Lynn was born Oct. 21, 1942, to Cecil Joel and Laura Ethel Brantley in Dallas.   He grew up in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1961.  Lynn married Jacqueline Brantley Aug.

Body Carson Wayne Machen, 31, passed away May 19, 2023, in Gun Barrel City. Carson was born Oct. 10, 1991, in San Diego, Calif., to parents Samuel and Gina (Jasik) Machen.

Body Funeral services for Jaylin Nathaniel McFadden, 17, of Mabank, will be held at 5 p.m., May 25, 2023 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home with a visitation following from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.  Jaylin was a Junior at Mabank High School where he played the saxophone in the band.

Body Olivia Huffhines Pearson was born to Oliver and Mildred (Prewitt) Huffhines Feb. 13, 1944 in Richardson. Olivia passed away April 26, 2023 in Athens.  Olivia was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother.

Body Lloyd Joe Thrasher, 82, of Mabank will be laid to rest at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023. Pastor Billy Smith will officiate. There will be an open visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  May 24, 2023 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Body Nellie Marie Chandler Thomas was born Oct. 26, 1933 in Prairieville to Leslie Carmon and Augusta Amelia (Gunderson) Chandler and left this life May 10, 2023 at her home in Van Zandt County with her family by her side.

Body Betty Sue Mosley Bolt was born to Frank Ray and Ola Mae Mosley in the Ash Switch community May 7, 1938. She went to “see her Jesus” May 8, 2023, just hours after celebrating her 85th birthday surrounded by her family and friends.  Betty graduated from Athens High School in 1956.

Body A celebration of the life of Ruthie Foss, 77, of Mabank will be held at 10 a.m. April 29, 2023 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home. Ruthie passed away surrounded by family April 15, 2023 in Mabank. She was born April 11, 1946 in Rice Lake, Wis.

Body Marshall Milton Butler, 90, was born Feb. 16, 1933, to the home of Charlie and Nellie Butler in Bennington, Okla. and was called home April 6, 2023.   Marshall began working at the Ford Motor Company in Dallas, after high school.

Body William Lee Smith, 85, of Gun Barrel City, passed at his home surrounded by his family, March 27, 2023. He was born Sept. 1, 1937 in Kaufman County to his late parents Ransom S. Smith and Oneita Parsons Smith.
