Mabank ISD Board of Trustees calls bond election

MABANK–Following the previous recommendation of the district’s Fall 2021 Facility Advisory Committee, the Mabank ISD Board of Trustees unanimously called a bond election for May 6. If approved, the three propositions totaling $119 million would fund a new early childhood center, a career and technical education facility at the high school and would provide upgrades to athletic facilities.

Governor urges Texans to report ice storm damage

AUSTIN–Governor Greg Abbott urged Texans impacted by winter weather to report property damage by submitting an online iSTAT damage assessment survey. Ice accumulation in North, Central and West Texas has resulted in broken tree branches affecting power lines and causing localized power outages.

KEMP—A 15-month-old was safely located in Fayetteville, N. C. at approximately 2 a.m. Feb.27. The child was the subject of an Amber Alert issued the previous day in conjuction with an investigation by Kemp Police Department according to posts by the department on social media.
